Serie A – Bologna-AC Milan
Bologna hosts the Serie A leaders AC Milan at the Renato Dall’Ara in a match from the 20th round of the league. Let us preview it for you in the next few minutes.
Before this round we find Bologna at 13th place in the Serie A. The Rossoblu have won 20 points in 19 games played so far. This season is nothing special for them, but let’s be honest here – when was the last time Bologna did something really special?
Sinisa Mihajlovic’s team won just one of its last five matches in the league. In the previous round Bologna had a very tough visit to the champion Juventus which ended with a 2-0 win for the Bianconeri at the Allianz Stadium.
AC Milan are still leaders in the Serie A standings despite their dissapointing 0-3 loss against Atalanta in the previous round. At this moment the Rossoneri are at the top of the standings with 43 points which puts them two points ahead of the second Inter Milan.
During the week Milan had to suffer some negative emotions. Stefano Pioli’s team got eliminated from the Coppa Italia after a 1-2 loss against Inter Milan. Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored Milan’s only goal in the game, but a very late winner from Christian Eriksen put Inter in the next round of the competition. Ibrahimovic also got sent off after just 58 minutes on the pitch.
Surely for Milan the Serie A is a bigger priority compared to the Coppa Italia. Now the Rossoneri must find a way to bounce back after the defeat against Atalanta at the San Siro. If they don’t do it they could lose the first place in the league.
That’s our preview for the Serie A clash between Bologna and AC Milan at the Renato Dall’Ara. Are the visitors going to keep the first place in the league? Let’s see.
