Premier League – Watford-Manchester United
Right now Watford are being managed by a third different coach since the start of the season. After the sacking of Javi Gracia and Quique Sanchez Flores, now Nigel Pearson has the difficult task to save the Hornets from relegation. But even after his appointment, Watford still can’t win a game. The club has won just one game in the Premier League this season – against Norwich City at the Carrow Road.
In the previous round Watford had to face Liverpool at the Anfield and just as everyone expected they lost. The hosts won the game with two goals from Mohamed Salah and it was all over for the Hornets.
At this moment Watford are at the bottom of the league, being 20th with just 9 points won. The club is 6 points behind the 17th Aston Villa and the safe zone, so they really need to step up if they want to avoid relegation.
Manchester United are still outside the Top 4 in the league, being 6th with 25 points. The 4th Chelsea is four points ahead, so the Red Devils need to be consistent in order to catch up with them.
Speaking of consistency, United didn’t show one in the previous round when they hosted Everton at the Old Trafford. The game at the Theatre of Dreams ended with a 1-1 draw, which was dissapointing for the hosts. Victor Lindelof had the bad luck to score himself an own goal, while the youngster Marcus Greenwood equalised for United.
At this moment Watford are the weakest team in the league, so it’s logical to think that Manchester United are favourites to win the three points here. The Red Devils made a dissapointing draw in the previous round, but now they are up to make a better performance.
