Premier League – Fulham-Chelsea
Fulham hosts Chelsea at the Craven Cottage in a fixture from the 19th round of the Premier League. Now it’s a good time to take a look at this game which is going to be played in the English capital.
For Fulham this is going to be another fight for survival this season. At this moment the Cottagers are in the relegation zone being 18th in the standings with 11 points won. What’s good for Scott Parker’s team is the fact that they are unbeaten in their last four matches in which they made four draws. Fulham have won just two matches since from the beginning of the season and that’s something they have to improve.
In the previous round Fulham hosted Southampton at the Craven Cottage, but only got a point after a 0-0 draw. The Cottagers had some opportunities to score, but at the end they were satisfied with the point – every point is going to be important for the Londoners.
Chelsea on the other hand are in a very difficult situation lately. The manager Frank Lampard is put under a serious pressure as his team won just one of its last five matches in the league. Because of this the Blues are now 9th in the standings with 26 points and they are 10 points behind the leader Manchester United. There are some rumours that the manager Frank Lampard could be sacked if he doesn’t improve his team’s performances.
Chelsea took a breath of fresh air during the weekend when they progressed in the FA Cup. The Blues faced Morecambe at the Stamford Bridge and secured a comfortable 4-0 win.
These are our thoughts about the Premier League game between Fulham and Chelsea on Saturday. This is a crunch time for the visitors as they are under pressure because of their mediocre results lately. Let’s see if they can make a change here.
