Premier League – Brighton & Hove Albion-Manchester United
We are heading to the American Express where on Tuesday Brighton & Hove Albion will host Manchester United in a fixture from the 32th round of the Premier League.
Brighton & Hove approach this game from 15th place in the league. So far the Seagulls have a record of 7 wins, 12 draws and 12 losses. What’s more important is that they currently have 6 points advantage in front of the 18th AFC Bournemouth and the danger zone. That’s not a bad gap between them and the Cherries, but it’s not a guarantee that they are going to survive, too.
In the previous round Graham Potter’s team made its 12th draw for the campaign. The Seagulls surprised a lot of people when they visited the King Power and won a point against Leicester City. The match ended without any goals scored – 0-0. Surely the visitors were happy to win a point at such a difficult ground.
Manchester United will have the chance to return in Top 5. Right now the Red Devils are 3 points behind the 5th Wolverhampton Wanderers, but they are also with a game in hand. If they beat Brighton & Hove, they will overtake the Wolves again.
On Saturday United celebrated a qualification for the FA Cup 1/2-finals. Ole Gunnar Solskajer’s team paid a visit to Norwich City and it was incredibly difficult. The visitors needed a goal in the 118th minute to win the game after extra time. The captain Harry Maguire was the big hero for Manchester United.
Despite of their average performance against Norwich City, Manchester United remain favourites to win against Brighton & Hove Albion. The Red Devils are seriously motivated to play in the Champions League again, so winning at the American Express is a must. Let’s see what’s going to happen on Tuesday.
