Premier League – Arsenal-West Ham United

Arsenal faces West Ham United at the Emirates in a match from the second round of the Premier League. Let’s take a look at this all London game in the next few paragraphs.

Arsenal made the perfect start of the new season in the Premier League. The Gunners paid a visit to Fulham and played a very solid game, winning it with 3-0. Alexandre Lacazette scored in the first half, while the new signing Gabriel Magalhaes and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang finished the job after the halftime break. It was a dream start of the season for Mikel Arteta and his boys.

For this game Arteta put the new signings Gabriel and Willian in the starting eleven, while Nicolas Pepe and Dani Ceballos entered the pitch after the halftime break. Arteta was happy with the way his team performed, so most likely he won’t be doing any drastic changes for the next one. You don’t change the team when the team is winning, right?

West Ham United will look for their first points since the start of the season. In their first game the Hammers hosted Newcastle United, but made a bad game and lost with 0-2. David Moyes’ team didn’t show much, so it was not a surprise that the Magpies managed to win.

During the week West Ham did better and reached the 3rd round of the League Cup. The Hammers hosted Charlton Athletic and achieved a convincing 3-0 win. Sebastien Haller scored a quick brace in the first half, while Felipe Anderson scored the third one in the last minutes.

Arsenal are red hot favourites against West Ham United at the Emirates. The Gunners showed some good level last week, so we have high expectations about them. The visitors will try to trouble them, but the truth is West Ham didn’t convince much against Newcastle in the first round.
