Premier League – Arsenal-Leicester City

Arsenal hosts Leicester City at the Emirates in a match from the 6th round of the Premier League. Two strong teams will face each other at the Emirates, so let’s preview it.

For Arsenal this game comes just few days after the club’s 2-1 win over Rapid Wien in Europa League. Mikel Arteta’s team traveled to the Austrian capital and enjoyed a difficult, but important win. Rapid actually scored first, but the Gunners turned it around with goals from David Luiz and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. Arsenal scored their two goals in the matter of just four minutes.

In the Premier League Arsenal are 5th in the standings with 9 points won. They lost twice in the last three rounds, so for them it will be important to get back on winning form.

Against Rapid Wien Arteta used Aubameyang and Hector Bellerin from the bench, so most likely they will start against Leicester. Granit Xhakaa and Shkodran Mustafi are also options to start from the first minute.

Just like Arsenal Leicester City also had a game in Europa League and they also won it. The Foxes faced Ukrainian team Zorya at the King Power and achieved a dominant 3-0 win. James Maddison and Harvey Barnes scored in the first half while in the second half Kelechi Iheanacho also put the ball in the net. It was a great game for Iheanacho – he didn’t just score, but he also recorded two assists for the first two goals.

Arsenal and Leicester City are among the strongest teams in England at the moment, so this is going to be a good game at the Emirates. Without fans at the stands we can’t say home advantage is so important. Leicester had some dissapointing results in the league lately, but now they have the chance to step up again.
