Nations League – France-Portugal

The world champion France is facing the European champion Portugal in a game from League A’s Group 3 of the Nations League. Do you need another reason to watch this match? It’s going to be a pure spectacle at the Stade de France in Paris – the same ground on which Portugal beat France for the European Cup in 2016.

Both Portugal and France are leading Group 3 with a perfect record of 6 points after the first two rounds. They are pretty good so far in the competition showing us why they were regarded favourites in this group.

The world champion France made a spectacular performance during their friendly game on Wednesday. Les Bleus hosted Ukraine in Paris and crushed Andriy Shevchenko’s team with 7-1. Olivier Giroud scored a brace for Didier Deschamps’ team while Camavinga, Tolisso, Mbappe and Griezmann scored as well. Ukraine’s Mykolenko scored himself an own goal.

Didier Deschamps left Barcelona’s striker Antoine Griezmann on the bench, but most likely he will start from the first minute against Portugal. The same could be said about Mbappe, Pogba, Kante, Lloris, Hernandez and Varane who also started from the bench for France.
