La Liga – Valladolid-Barcelona

The champion Barcelona is aiming to record a second win since the start of the new season in the Spanish La Liga. The Catalan giants are visiting Real Valladolid and they will hope to make it two in a row after their win against Deportivo Alaves in the first round.

Against Alaves Barca had some difficulties in the first half, when Ernesto Valverde’s team did not score any goals. Everything changed after the break, when Messi and Coutinho decided everything in Los Cules’ favour. Just like everyone expected.

After Cristiano Ronaldo being gone now, Barcelona are again a major favourite for the title in La Liga. Last season the Catalans won the league in a dominant fashion and now their goal is to do a similar thing. During the summer Barca strenghtened its squad with signings like Malcom, Arthur, Arturo Vidal and Clement Lenglet. Now they have an even better team than last season and the goal is clear – to continue with its domination in the Spanish league.

Barcelona already started its season with a trophy, winning the Spanish Super Copa. Meanwhile the new captain Leo Messi promised the fans that the team will also try its best to win the Champions League again. In other words, Barcelona are ready for a war this season and they are pretty serious.

Real Valladolid began the new campaign with a 0-0 draw during the visit to Girona. It was a good result for Valladolid, given the fact that Girona have a solid team and they did very well last season. If Real Valladolid can stay away from the relegation zone, this would be a pretty good campaign for them.

Barcelona are favourites against Real Valladolid, of course. We expect that the Catalans will rarely lose points this season, including when playing away from home.
