English Premier League – Brighton & Hove Albion-Manchester United
Brighton & Hove Albion faces Manchester United at the American Express in a match from the third round of the English Premier League.
In the previous round Brighton & Hove achieved their first win for the 2020/21 season. Graham Potter’s team paid a visit to Newcastle United at the St. James’ Park and surprised the home team with a 3-0 win. Neal Maupay scored a brace for the Seagulls, while Aaron Connolly scored the third one.
Graham Potter has some problems before this game. The midfielder Yves Bissouma got sent off against the Magpies, so he won’t be avaliable for selection for Saturday.
Manchester United will look for first points after the shocking 1-3 defeat against Crystal Palace in the first round. Nobody really expected such a result from this match, but it’s a fact – Palace made a great impression, while United dissapointed their fans. The new signing Donny van de Beek scored his first goal with the red shirt, but it was far from enough.
During the week Manchester United recorded a first win for the season. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team faced Luton Town in the League Cup and scored a 3-0 win. Juan Mata, Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood scored the three goals.
Despite this win fans are still worried about how Manchester United started the season. The loss against Crystal Palace was a serious hit to the club’s ambitions, so now they have to react – winning is the only option at the American Express on Saturday.
That’s our quick preview for the Premier League game between Brighton & Hove Albion and Manchester United on Saturday. These two teams recorded totally opposite results in their last games in the league, but it should not matter at the American Express. It’s still the beginning of the season, so many things could change in the next few weeks.
