Champions League – Real Madrid-Inter Milan
It’s time for a greath European derby in the Champions League because on Tuesday Real Madrid will host Inter Milan at the Estadio Alfredo Di Stefano in the Spanish capital. This is a match from Group B of the group stage.
Real Madrid had a surprisingly bad start of the 2020/21 season in the Champions League. Los Blancos won just one point in the first two rounds of the competition. They suffered a home defeat against Shakhtar Donetsk in the first round and only made a 2-2 draw during the visit to Borussia M’gladbach.
Despite these results in the first two games the manager Zinedine Zidane is not looking worried. The French manager is an optimist his team won’t have problems to reach the knockout phase. But in order to do it Madrid must start winning more points.
During the weekend Real Madrid recorded a confident win in La Liga. Los Blancos hosted Huesca in Madrid and enjoyed a 4-1 win.
Inter Milan are still without a win in the Champions League, too. The Italian giants recorded two draws in their first two matches in the competitions against Borussia M’gladbach and Shakhtar Donetsk. Inter are currently third in the group with just 2 points.
Last season Inter Milan finished third in their Champions League group and they were unable to reach the 1/8-finals. Now the Nerazzurri are more than motivated to fix this and improve their performance.
That’s our preview for the Champions League game between Real Madrid and Inter Milan at the Estadio Alfredo Di Stefano. Both teams are looking for their first wins in the competion for the 2020/21 season. Madrid and Inter dissapointed in the first two rounds of the group stage, but they still have enough time to fix their performance and make their way to the knockout phase.
