Bundesliga – Bayern Munich-Werder Bremen

Bayern Munich faces Werder Bremen at the Allianz Arena in a game from the 15th round of the Bundesliga.

The champions lost their last two games in the league against Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia M’gladbach, so right now they are 7th in the standings on 7 points behind the leader. You can see why at this moment the Bavarians can’t even think of a different result than the win on Saturday.

These two defeats were the first two losses for the new manager Hans-Dieter Flick since he replaced the sacked Niko Kovac. It’s still not clear if he’s going to manage the team after the winter break or he’s going to be replaced by a permanent manager soon. If Bayern Munich do another negative result, this could be a sign that it’s time for action.

During the week FC Hollywood gained back some confidence by beating Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham Hotspur. Bayern Munich won this match with 3-1 with goals from Kingsley Coman, Thomas Muller and Philippe Coutinho.

The bad news came from the serious injury which Kingsley Coman suffered against Spurs. He hurted his knee in the first half and he could be facing months out of the pitch.

Werder Bremen are 14th in the league with 14 points won. Their record goes like this: three wins, five draws and six losses. In their last five games Werder won just once – against Wolfsburg. They lost three of their last five matches.

In the previous round Werder hosted Paderborn and suffered a 0-1 defeat at home. They were close to winning a point at the Weserstadion, but Sven Michel scored a winner for Paderborn in the last minutes.

It’s time for Bayern Munich to start winning again in the Bundesliga. A home game against Werder Bremen is a perfect opportunity for this. We think they will do the job.
